As alumni, you play an invaluable role in the recruitment of future generations of Tigers, and we are incredibly grateful you think so highly of your alma mater to recommend it to others!
The RIT Alumni Referral Award allows you to nominate one undergraduate student applying for admission to RIT for a $1,000/year scholarship* (renewable for four years, totaling $4,000) if:
-
They are a new student applying for this coming academic year
-
They apply and submit all admissions materials by the appropriate deadline
Referral names for the 2025-2026 academic year must be received by the Office of Admission by the application deadline for the selected admission program. Those deadlines are:
First-year students applying Early Decision 1 – November 1, 2024
First-year students applying Early Action - November 1, 2024
First-year students applying Early Decision 2 – January 1, 2025
First-year students applying Regular Decision – January 15, 2025
Transfer Students – January 15, 2025
Nominations submitted after the stated deadlines will not be accepted.
Nominated students must be admitted and enroll full-time at RIT to receive the scholarship funding.
The referral form must be complete by the deadline above in order to qualify them for this special award program. Scholarship dollars cannot be granted retroactively for this program, so please don't delay!
Each alumni can nominate one applicant per year for this award. The Office of Admission will be sure to be in touch with prospective students as they navigate the college search process, and we encourage you to also check in with these students from time to time to offer advice and encouragement.
Thank you for helping us shape the future of RIT and find the best and brightest young people to join our community - Go Tigers!
*Please Note: Deaf and hard-of-hearing students accepted into an associate or bachelor’s degree program and students accepted into the ASL-English interpretation program will receive the prorated amount of $500/year to reflect the lower assessed tuition rate.
